- I am a stay at home mom of two angels, Casey and Mayci.I'm also a home schooling mom of my now 6th grader. I love being with my babies! I married my high school sweetheart and we have been married 18 years. I love making junk look like good stuff. I dont like new things, I love junk treasures! I don't have much time anymore to do these things, so I enjoy looking at everyone elses projects and dream. I love my life, I feel so blessed!

ReplyDeleteMy husband got our wood floors at Lumber Liquidators in Lexington. It's the same flooring in our kitchen. They are 9 inch New England pine planks. They are very cheap compare to most wood flooring because they are a softer wood. But I love the look of the wide planks, and I don't mind a few knicks and scratches on them. I think it adds "character". The stain is Minwax, "provencial". I use this stain on everything. It's my favorite.
I am following your blog now! I know you are just starting, but it's a whole lot of fun! I love documenting all this stuff for my kids, especially the memories of my mom.

I have also used my boys' baby socks - I just could not bear to part with them. I have not dyed them yet - have not brought myself to that, but probably will eventually. Instead, I have some of those tiny clothes pins and just pin them to some twine and hand them like garland across my windows
