First, I soak in coffee for about 30 min.
Second, I spread out on aluminum foil and bake in the oven on 200 for 20 to 30 minutes, turning to make sure they dont burn. Then I turn the oven on warm until they dry.
After it is dry, stuff with poly fill
I used the little acrylic paint in barn yard red from walmart.
I got these little tiny buttons at Hobby Lobby and sewed on the front. Then I cut a strip of material to make a loop on the back of the sock to hang it on the tree.
In some of them I put some pine needles ,cinnamon sticks, and small cranberries I got in the floral dept at Hobby Lobby.
Now I have those sweet baby socks as a Christmas keepsake. I will never forget how little those cute feet were.
Yeah Norma! That's a great post and a great idea. I am impressed with your blog.
ReplyDeleteI didn't have any idea what I was doing when I made mine. My mom told me to start it. It's been a lot of fun for me and a huge blessing. Just do what you can and have fun!
Blessings,
Traci

Cute and a nice way to your keepsakes and you're right it's nice to get them out of the drawer and really enjoy them. Years from now you'll never believe her little foot once wore them. Fun idea.
